Louise Dunne began working for Radio Netherlands Worldwide more than 10 years ago as a freelance newsreader and continuity announcer. She became more interested in the journalistic work of RNW and, after a stint as a news writer and writing the daily press reviews, moved to Newsline. Beginning as a producer and presenter, she has been Newsline's editor since the beginning of 2008.
Born and bred in New Zealand, Louise trained at the national drama school Toi Whakaari. After a number of years working as an actor and director in NZ theatre, TV and radio, she left the country, living first in New York and then London before moving to Amsterdam.
In her current work as Newsline editor, she enjoys the challenge of co-ordinating and over-seeing the team effort needed to produce a daily radio news show and responding to the changes demanded by the increasing importance of the web and other new technology as mediums for providing news and analysis of the highest possible quality.
