Sri Lanka's Supreme Court is set to decide the fate of a British Tamil imprisoned five years ago.
He has never been charged with a crime but has nonetheless remained in a Colombo jail, held on suspicion of supplying Tamil Tiger (LTTE) militants with military equipment. The civil war wrecking the country has since ended, but Visvallingam Gobithas’ nightmare continues. His lawyers, meanwhile, are doing everything they can think of to secure his release.

i dont know about gobi but i understand that certain formalities are adopted in the present sri lanka justification.

Was with Gobi in Jail and know him. Truly a man with patience and has no ill feelings towards others. I wish he comes out soon. I last saw him a week ago before my release
