Liberia's Nobel Peace Prize winning President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf was on Thursday confirmed as victor of a run-off poll boycotted by the opposition, with only 37.4 voter turnout.
The National Elections Commission announced that with results tallied from 86.6 percent of polling stations, Sirleaf won 90.8 percent of votes cast and her rival Winston Tubman, who pulled out of the election and urged supporters to boycott it, won nine percent.
