Luis Suarez stirred controversy ahead of Liverpool's Premier League clash with Manchester United here on Saturday after appearing to ignore Patrice Evra's offer of a handshake.

Suarez, playing his first match against United since returning from an eight-match ban for racially abusing Evra, walked past the French defender in the pre-match handshakes.

A clearly irritated Evra attempted to force Suarez into a handshake by grabbing his arm as the Uruguayan walked away.
