Western Nepal hit by flooding and mudslides

Over 50 people in Nepal have been killed as a result of mudslides and flooding over the last few days. Thousands of people have been made homeless.

 

Western Nepal has been hit by severe rainfall since Sunday and the weather is threatening this year's harvests. Army and police rescue teams are searching for survivors, but the rain is hampering their efforts.
