Published on : 21 January 2008 - 1:00am | By International Justice Tribune
More about:

According to the daily newspaper Le Monde, on January 15, the Court of Cassation in Paris overturned the decision of the Paris Court of Appeals to transfer former Rwandan sub-prefect Dominique Ntawukuriryayo [IJT-78], wanted for genocide, to the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. He was arrested October 16, 2007 in Carcassone in the south of France. The highest French court cited procedural errors, which sends the consideration of the request for transfer to the tribunal in Arusha before a new investigation chamber.
