Over 200 British soldiers killed in Afghanistan

Over 200 British soldiers have now been killed in Afghanistan since the beginning of the conflict in 2001. The lastest two casualties died of their injuries after being caught in explosions in the southern Helmand province, bringing the death toll to 201.

Most of the 9000 British troops in Afghanistan are stationed in the southern province, a region in which frequent fighting with the Taliban takes place.
