The trial of Jovica Stanisic, former director of the Yugoslav intelligence services under Slobodan Milosevic, before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) is getting bogged down. On April 1, the Trial Chamber postponed the trial for at least three to six months after a psychiatric evaluation found that Stanisic was not capable of attending his trial for at least three to six months. Stanisic, 57, suffers from severe depression and kidney stones. His trial, one of the most important still pending before the ICTY, has already been postponed several times.
