Suspected Bosnian-Serb war criminal Radovan Karadzic will not appear before the Yugoslavia Tribunal on Tuesday.
His legal advisor says the former Bosnian-Serb leader is still not adequately prepared for his trial. Mr Karadzic insists on conducting his own defense. The trial began on Monday, but the session was adjourned after 15 minutes because the suspect failed to appear. Next of kin and survivors of the Bosnian war who had travelled to The Hague to attend the trial were furious and threatened to spend the night on the doorstep of the Yugoslavia Tribunal. The judges say that the trial will resume on Tuesday, with or without the suspect.
