On June 15, Carla Del Ponte, the prosecutor for the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), dropped the charges against three Croatian journalists who allegedly in 2004 disclosed the fact that President Stipe Mesic had previously testified anonymously before the ICTY 7 years prior [IJT 43]. Del Ponte dropped the case "in the interest of justice and judicial economy." A fourth journalist, Josip Jovic is still charged with contempt of court for having revealed the same information in 2000.
