France-Rwanda: a parisian judge in Kigali

Published on : 24 October 2005 - 12:00am | By International Justice Tribune
More about:

Back on February 16, 2005 six Rwandans filed suit against members of the French army on charges of direct participation in the 1994 Tutsi genocide in Rwanda. The prosecutor of the military court in Paris does not believe the evidence is sufficient to warrant an investigation. However, according to an AP newswire dated October 14, the prosecutor has finally authorized an examining magistrate to go to Rwanda to interview the parties in this civil suit.
