Final indictments at the ICTY

The former interior minister of the ex-Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Ljube Boskoski, was transferred to the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on 24 March. He was indicted along with police officer Johan Tarculovski, on 15 March for war crimes, murder and deliberate destruction perpetrated against Albanians on 12 August 2001, in Ljuboten. Boskovski was detained in Croatia from August 2004. Tarculovski surrendered voluntarily to the Tribunal. These will be prosecutor\'s final indictments, in accordance with the UN Security Council resolution requiring the ICTY to close its investigations by the end of 2004. All subsequent cases will be referred to national courts.
