In the United States, eight people have been charged for recruiting young men to fight in the civil war in Somalia.
Over the past two years, around 20 youths from the Somali community in Minnesota have been sent to Somalia to fight for the hardline Islamic al-Shabaab movement.
One of those charged is currently being detained in the Netherlands. He was arrested at a centre for asylum seekers at the request of the US authorities.
