Dutch football: Twente hold lead at top

Published on 21 March 2010 - 11:06am
More about:

In Saturday's Premier League matches, the top of the table encounter between PSV and FC Twente ended in a 1-1 draw. The draw means FC Twente stays in the lead and retains its five-point lead over PSV.

PSV centre forward Danny Koevermans scored the first goal; Blaise Nkufo scored the equaliser for FC Twente.

FC Utrecht beat Willem II 3-0 in an away game in Tilburg. Jacob Mulenga, Jan Wuytens en Alje Schut scored the goals for FC Utrecht. In a home match, Heracles defeated NAC with the same score: 3-0. Bas Dost, Willy Overtoom and Brazilian striker Everton signed off on the goals.

The match between Feyenoord and Vitesse was cancelled 15 minutes before half time because heavy rainfall partly flooded the field. The score at that moment was 1-1.
