On March 1, Denmark announced it would try Rwanda's former director of civil aviation, Sylvère Ahorugeze, currently a refugee in the Nordic country. Denmark and Rwanda have not signed an extradition treaty. "We discussed the various ways and means of prosecuting suspects and conducting trials with Denmark's deputy public prosecutor, Plum Lans Nunk, who just left Rwanda after a brief stay," Rwandan prosecutor Emmanuel Rukangira told Hirondelle news agency. Kigali estimates that there are at least 15 genocide suspects in Denmark.
