Defendant stabs witness in Dresden court

Published on 1 July 2009 - 9:03pm
More about:

In Germany, a 28-year-old man accused of defamation stabbed a female witness to death in a court in Dresden today. Several other people were injured in the attack.

A police spokesperson said the man, identified as Axel W., was overpowered and is now being interrogated. The court was sealed off immediately after the attack.

The court was hearing Axel W.'s appeal against a fine handed down last year for defamation. It is not clear if the victim was also involved in the earlier defamation case. A court spokesperson said Axel W. had not been searched before today's hearing started as there was no indication that it might be necessary.

Facts please 2 July 2009 - 11:08pm
The fact you did not mention here are that the victim was an Egyptian Muslim 32-year-old woman. Actually she was not a witness, she sued that Axel W for calling her a terrorist because of her putting on an Islamic HIJAB. Now, I think, everybody knows that the terrorist is the one who kills an innocent woman, not the one who puts a piece of cloth on her head. I think you should tell all the facts about the crime and not conceal some details just because the vistim is a Muslim, and not the assailant.
