Sunday's presidential elections in Congo-Brazzaville were peaceful but the turnout was low.
Although there are no official turnout figures, some opposition leaders say that 90 percent of eligible voters abstained.
The opposition has called for a re-run of the poll saying that electoral lists and ballots have been tampered with.
President Denis Sassou-Nguesso is expected to be re-elected for a new seven-year term. He ruled Congo-Brazzaville from 1979-1992, and after a five-year interruption, returned to power in 1997.
