Great Britain has expelled an Israeli diplomat in connection with the assassination of a leader of the Palestinian Hamas movement.
Mahmoud al-Mabhouh was killed in his Dubai hotel room in January. The autopsy report says he was strangled and received electric shocks. Dubai police believe Israel's secret service, Mossad, is behind the crime but Israel refuses to comment on the accusations, insisting that no evidence has been found.
Interpol has now issued arrest warrants for a total of 27 suspects. Twelve of them used counterfeit British passports and the British authorities are investigating how the documents were obtained. Other suspects used false Irish, French, German and Australian passports.
