A suicide car bomb outside NATO headquarters in the Afghan capital Kabul has killed seven people and injured at least 90, including five ISAF soldiers.
Responsibility has been claimed by the Taliban, who have been attempting to disrupt elections due on Thursday. The Taliban say the intended target of the blast was the US embassy. Because the heavily protected embassy could not be reached, the car packed with explosives drove into a security barrier outside the NATO compound instead.
