The Bolivian authorities have issued an arrest warrant for opposition leader Manfred Reyes Villa. Mr Reyes, the former governor of the state of Cochabamba, is wanted on charges of tax evasion and electoral fraud.
In the country's elections earlier this month, he was the main rival of President Evo Morales and went into hiding shortly after Mr Morales swept to victory. The conservative politician insists the warrant is politically motivated and that the prosecutor is a close ally of President Morales.
