      Anti-terror arrests throughout Turkey

      Police have arrested around 120 al-Qaeda suspects in raids throughout Turkey, including the cities of Istanbul and Ankara.

       

      They are suspected of plotting attacks on Turkish troops stationed in Afghanistan and of targeting police inside Turkey.

       

      Turkish news agency Anatolia reports that the leader of al-Qaeda in Turkey and other senior members are believed to be among those detained.
