Curious Orange Co-host
I was born in Amsterdam, Holland. A Dutchman "in heart and kidneys" as the native expression goes. I did however leave for several years. I lived in the US, New York City primarily, but also San Antonio, Texas. For now I am here to stay though.
My childhood dream was to be a radio drama actor. But alas, radio drama passed away before my voice changed. Then I decided to become a photographer. Took many a picture but I knew there were more ways to tell a story. I was lucky, got enrolled in a radio journalism program here in Hilversum and became a reporter. Worked on several radio shows. Some geeky ones too, about Internet and technology. Liked it a lot. Also worked on consumer shows. Then, around the turn of the century - the most recent one that is - I started freelancing for the English language feature department of Radio Netherlands. Next, I was on the staff of Newsline for some time. I am now co-hosting Curious Orange with Ashleigh Elson, and I work for the Partner Desk department.
An interesting fact about me: Before I actually learned English in school I could phonetically sing old school rap songs. No body popping though.
