The number of aging drug addicts in the Netherlands is rising quickly. According to an organisation that studies alcoholism and drug abuse, there are currently 12,000 aging junkies and the figure is expected to rise significantly in the coming years. 

A group of over 30 aging junkies in The Hague even has its own nursing home. The home has no rules: the junkies can take drugs and drink to their heart's delight.

An added advantage of putting the aging junkies together in a home is that when they are in regular nursing homes, they often steal from the other residents to fund their habit.
