More about:

Supermodel Naomi Campbell testified this week at the war crimes trial of former Liberian president Charles Taylor in the Netherlands. In 1997, Campbell met Taylor at a party and that evening she received a bag with uncut diamonds. Prosecutors claim those diamonds were a gift from Charles Taylor and prove that he had access to stolen diamonds.

14-year old Dutch girl Laura Dekker can finally begin her solo sailing trip around the world. She made international headlines last year when her father gave her permission to attempt the trip. But a court placed her under the supervision of child services. After months of pyschological evaluations, last week, a court lifted the supervision order paving the way for Laura's departure this week.

The Dutch military mission in Afghanistan is officially over. After four years in the war-torn country, the Netherlands is pulling out. This week, a ceremony was held to hand over responsibility to the other coalition partners. It was also a time to remember those who lost their lives in the process. And for some soldiers, the battle is just beginning. They are suffering from psychological problems as a result of their experiences in Afghanistan.
