Turks divided over Wilders visit

Published on : 25 November 2009 - 12:50pm | By Silvia Brens
More about:

The proposed visit of a Dutch parliamentary delegation to Turkey is now in some doubt as the Turkish government has announced that it doesn't want Geert Wilders to be included in the party.

The other members of the Dutch delegation have declared their solidarity with the leader of the Freedom Party, and have indicated that if the Turks don't change their position they will call off the visit.

Mr Wilders wants to go to Ankara in January to explain why he is opposed to Turkish membership of the European Union. But according to politicians there, Mr Wilders - whose party lies in second position in Dutch opinion polls - is a racist and a fascist. On the streets of Istanbul, people's opinions appear to be mixed.

Turkey's policy policy chauvinist par excellence because it does not recognize the right of existence and identity of the other nationalities within the country of the Armenians, Arabs, Kurds and others, which make up about half of the population and deprive them of even the basic rights and legitimate exercise of repression against any kind of lebanese. In addition to the Diha black. And occupation of the evil and brutal massacres during the Ottoman Empire

I'm with Mr. Geert Fields in this case, though I'm different with him in some of his opinions because Turkey was and is a racist apartheid regime along the lines of South African former exercised openly chauvinistic and esophagus and ears of the international community against the people and deprives them of basic rights
