'Sustainability' all but absent in the Dutch Budget

The discussion about the Dutch government's budget plans are in full swing. Logically the economic crisis and the cutbacks that will be the result in the long term, attract most of the attention.

But what about sustainability and the environment, what do the government's plans say about those. Professor Lucas Reijnders works at the University of Amsterdam, as lecturer environmental sciences. He is commonly known as 'The environment professor'.

Thijs Westerbeek asked professor Reijnders whether its a bad sign that in her "Speech from the Throne' Queen Beatrix only mentioned the word 'Sustainability' once...
