They're right between the prostitutes, the DJs of Red Light Radio. In the famous red light district of Amsterdam they spin their records in a former prostitute's 'shopwindow'.
It is catching people's eyes: passing tourists and johns stop and watch. Patricia Cronie went to Amsterdam and asked founder Hugo van Heijningen what's the benefit of making radio a la Red Light Radio next door to the prostitutes?

UNOY Peacebuilders will be organizing a Human Library in June and we are looking for "Books". A Human Library is an event where people have the opportunity to talk to people who they would not encounter in their daily lives and also to raise awareness on certain issues. Hence, a "Book" is an interesting person who is willing to share their story with the public. The theme of our Human Library is Social Exclusion. Though prostitution is legal in the Netherlands it is a prostitutes are still regarded with a mixture of fascination and animosity. I would like to get in touch with a prostitute who is willing to participate in our Human Library in order to raise awareness of the fact that social exclusion is still present in our society. This event is to take place at The Hague. If anyone is interested in taking part in this event please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or comments.
