The president and the mechanic

Published on : 27 February 2013 - 2:39pm | By Sandesh Bhugaloo (Screenshot: RNW)
More about:

This is the first episode in the story of Moussa Sylla. The Ivorian mechanic lives in The Netherlands, the same country as Laurent Gbagbo, his former president. Gbagbo is awaiting to hear whether he will have to stand trial at the International Criminal Court (ICC) for crimes against humanity.

In the coming weeks, RNW will be following Moussa, a former Gbagbo supporter, as he looks for his ex-president and justice. He'll take us to the ICC in The Hague where he will meet, among others, the Court's chief prosecutor Fatou Bensouda.

The president and the mechanic is a radio documentary produced by Jesper Buursink and Thijs Bouwknegt. Follow Moussa's journey in French on www.regardssurgbagbo.net, Facebook, Twitter (#RSGbagbo) and via RNW's African partners.
