      What does it mean when a loved one is arrested and has to endure severe conditions in prison without the prospect of freedom?

      Radio Netherlands Worldwide answers this question in eight powerful video portraits featuring the relatives of political prisoners in China, Cuba, Colombia, Eritrea, Uzbekistan, Iran, Indonesia and Azerbaijan. The videos are at the heart of RNW dossiers on political prisoners in seven languages, designed to create an international platform for news, background and discussion.
       


       
      Human rights is one of the issues Radio Netherlands Worldwide programming focuses on. The stories behind the people who are put in prison for fighting for the rights of their compatriots deserve our attention.
