Pakistan worse than Afghanistan

Published on : 23 October 2009 - 2:03pm | By Davion Ford
More about:

Pakistan is playing a double role. While the country is fighting the Taliban in its border provinces, it is supporting the same Taliban in neighbouring Afghanistan, says Radio Netherlands Worldwide’s senior foreign affairs correspondent Bernard Hammelburg.

In the past few weeks a series of bomb attacks has taken place in Pakistan. It seems this increase in violence has made the situation in the country more serious than in Afghanistan. In the eyes of the international community Pakistan is not dealing adequately to the violence in its own country.
