Occupy Movement still going strong in Amsterdam

Published on : 24 October 2011 - 12:26pm | By Eric Beauchemin (Screenshot: EenVandaag)
More about:

The Occupy Movement has been going on for over a month now and shows no sign of petering out. The protests against the Western financial system began in Wall Street in New York on September 17, and now there are tents in many of the world’s major cities, including Amsterdam.

The aim of the Occupy Movement remains vague. The activists want change, but they’re divided about the type of change they want. A law student in Amsterdam, Pepijn Le Heux, talks about his impressions.

Take responsibility for your own choices, including willingly signing for a mortgage. No one forced you. Instead, get a job and stop blaming capitalism for your own failures in life. What is mainly to blame are out of control Corporatism and Socialism.
