Some of the Jews could run away from Germany and all around europe they found peace and relocation in Turkey. Yes nobody helped them. While Anne-Frank is tortured in the middle of Amsterdam, dutch did nothing against to save a little girl child and her innocent family. Why don't they tell what the Turks did to the world during the Ottoman Empire. They were worse than Hitler and his nazis...worse than the Japenese to Americans...Worse than anything in history. I hate Islam...and I don't trust Muslims because of the way they act and hurt others. Just like with Geert Wilders, they want to stop him and kill him. Now his own country will prosecute him. This is not a true news at all. I dont know where you guys find this kind of news. And I am doubtfull is actually this news.
There are several churches in Istanbul. And people are free go there to pray. To build a new church needs ofcourse special permission. Not everybody from street is able to build a church and a mosque.
Turkey has always been the land of multiple religions. ( anybody knows that with a little bit of world geschidenis knowledge) I am grown up in Istanbul with the sounds of bells from churches and ezan from mosques. I never felt that strange. In my primary school i sat with jew , orthodox greek , ermenian and ( also kurdish) friends in the same class . These are the years 80 ies.
People who talks there in the video does not even represent average Turk. Thats how Nederlanders want to see a Turk , man with mustache and woman with scarf. Those two guys with mustache , even makes me afraid me being a Turk. Those are types like Wilders. Nobody takes them serious. But like Wilders they get attention because of wrong politics and uneducated media . Because of politics and islam phobic europeans , Turkey is always recognised wrong.
Thats why I would like to correct it. Turks are much more tolerant then Nederlands even in Islam it says Islam is the only religion and everybody is born as islam. Turks accepts that people have right to beleive what ever they wish...

Until Turkey admits the Armenian Genocide did happen (and was carried out by the Young Turks who did have Jewish backgrounds and were able to manipulate the Turkish populace), they will never be true peaceful and accepting people. A peaceful people would not continue to deny genocide and through denial commit it twice.
(Look, I honestly believe Turks of today are decent, but if they don't admit to the wrongdoings of the past they will never have 100% honor).

The video brought tears in my eyes because the old woman won't see a church in Turkey in her lifetime. Thanks Silvia Brens, for highlighting this issue , which RNW has been evading for years. Turkey was a Christian country at one time and now the Christians are at their mercy and churches have vanished.This is what has been done in Kashmir, and in rest of India, over the centuries.The temples have been demolished to build mosques. The prominent being Ram Janambhoomi in Ayodhya and Taj Mahal in Agra, both were temples at one time. The holiest shrine of Muslims at Mecca, was a temple in the reign of King Vikramaditya.It is said that there are verses from Mahabharata in the sanctum sanctorum. So, that's the way they are spreading Islam, while destroying other religious places. I was astounded to see, how that man said that the Turkish Christians should become Muslims!. And these very Muslims demand freedom of religion in foreign countries, how shameful!
Examples of intolerance in Turkey should not be used as rationale for intolerance here. Christianity is not taking over Turkey. Islam is not taking over NL. But it does appear that xenophobia may be a problem in both countries. Let's turn this thing around.
How can a Muslim country expect religious freedom in a Western country of they do not respect other religious freedoms themselves?
Holland and Belgium should wake up. Your countries are being overtaken by an intolerant foreign religion. Once inside they will not show any mercy or respect to your own culture. Just look at this example above. Christianity and western culture would not be tolerated. If you don't wake up soon your countries will be lost forever and your grandchildren would have to live under a foreign culture. Very, very scary.
