Dutch police are setting up a team specialising in tracing child pornography and sexual abuse of children. In the same week a paedophile has gone on trial in Haarlem for the possession of huge amounts of child pornography.
It's the latest in a series of cases involving child pornography. But what effect do the millions of pornographic pictures and videos have on the behaviour of paedophiles?
Last year, 500 people in the Netherlands were arrested on charges of possessing child pornography or sexually abusing children. In the wake of a few notorious cases, the police have decided to set up a special team to fight child pornography and child sexual abuse. They hope to increase the number of prosecutions by 25% by 2014.
People who are convicted of possessing child pornography are often required to undergo two years of group therapy, together with victims. Psychologists say many of the men can be cured.

In my opinion pedophiles deserve the death penalty. Children are defenseless and any and all child abuse destroys a child for the remainder of their life.
What shall be done is shot down the ISP that has pornography. But now the action against child pornography has a doble standard. It allow pornography on web when realy we don't need, the pornography industry has enough revenuew before the web existed.
The remedy is wrong adressed.
