Dutch waste disposal companies are about to finalise a deal with Naples to solve the Italian city’s ongoing waste problem. For years, Naples has been trying to deal with its mountains of garbage. Mafia involvement in Italy’s waste disposal often leads to metre-high mountains of rubbish in the streets.
Dutch waste companies are only too happy to clean up. The Dutch don’t produce enough garbage to keep their 12 waste power plants operating at full capacity. The Netherlands is already importing waste from the United Kingdom, and soon a quarter of a million tonnes of Italian rubbish will sail into Dutch ports every year.

Don't they have a live volcano beside Naples they can just throw the garbage into? Seriously. Throw it into the volcano.
