Published on : 19 June 2009 - 11:02am | By Davion Ford
More about:

Barack Obama seems to be determined to tackle the Middle East problem. He is increasing the pressure on Israel and the Palestinians. But - in recent speeches in Ankara and Cairo - he also appealed directly to the Muslim world to support his efforts.

What's going on behind the scenes? Senior foreign affairs correspondent Bernard Hammelburg has been doing some serious uncovering. RNW-reporter Davion Ford interviewed him.
