A court in Amsterdam has acquitted MP Geert Wilders of charges of inciting hatred and insulting Muslims as a group. The charges had been brought by individuals who felt they had been discriminated against by the anti-Islam nationalist MP.

I THINK U WOULD HAVE TRY REAL HARD TO OFFEND SOMEONE BE RACIST MUSLIMS, ANTI MUSLIM. THEY LIVE ORTHODOX LIFESTYLE. AND THEY ABUSE SALE AND USE US!! MAKE MILLIONS DOING IT BELIVE ONE THING LIVE DOUBLE LIFE!
The defendant is happy and so is the prosecution. This was just a nuisance trial that backfired.
As David Warren of the Ottawa Citizen so nicely put it;
It is now his adversaries who are wondering if they may have "missed a wonderful opportunity to shut up."

Freedom of expression is what one thinks about this or that thing, but should never be inciting violence and that is what Wilders has always made his influential political position he served the court to make a final decision .
"Freedom of expression is what one thinks about this or that thing, but should never be inciting violence..." Wilders never incited violence against anyone. He expressed his thoughts about Islam and it's teachings. Now, if you want to read something that expresses violence and subjugation of humans, you might read the Koran. I personally would not ban the book as Wilders would. That would be the opposite of freedom of expression.
Everyone interprets things their way, you saw the film Wilders you heard what you said? if that is not inciting violence, then what is it? Wilders came here to New York and gave a speech filled with hatred and racism against those who are Muslim, why? that's what he feels, that's freedom of expression itself, but also has its political hue.
lazaro diaz sanchez, I watched and listened to Wilder's speech on Youtube and he did not incite violence against Muslims or any racism. What violence did he incite? What race did he incite? Did the people who watched and listen to his speech go out and commit violence? I don't think so! What did he do? He contrasted the liberties and tolerance of non-Islamic countries to those countries which are Islamic. I listen to 14:47 minutes of his speech and nowhere did he incite violence or preach racism. In NYC (USA) he was allowed to speak as he did about his perceptions of Islam. He wouldn't be allowed to do so in Saudia Arabia or Eygpt. I took the time to listen to his speech, so why don't you go and listen to it and come back and tell how he incited violence. As to racism, Islam is not a race. It is a religion practiced by men and women of the world's races.
No need to go to violent words just to incite violence, you have your point of view and I have mine, but as I see it, if he is against the Islamization of the Netherlands claimed then that previous governments and undertake not against a particular race or religion, that today but tomorrow they may be Latino or God knows who is the emigration of muslmanes world but that does not have to create analogies that not all the same, they are also products of a failed policy in their countries as well as the immigration policy of the Netherlands.
Even though this verdict was long expected, Geert can use it as a "carte blanche" in his future political endeavours. The accusation has been decided upon but the controversy will last well into the future.
Excellent ! Nederland has done the right thing...& become a good example to the rest of Europa.
Perfect! A good result in my opinion!
There is no such thing as justice-in or out of court.
Another example where the Dutch don't just give Free Speech lip service.
