Bobby Farrell, who died on Thursday last week, was born a dancer, he told Radio Netherlands Worldwide in an interview with the group Boney M, recorded in 1977. "It's a gift from God", the band's on-screen male lead singer and dancer said. The actual voice on the original records was that of Boney M producer Frank Farian and not Bobby Farrell (official website).

Boonoonoos! That’s one of the greatest songs Boney M presented us. And of course “By the rivers of Babylon” we weep for the lonely death in that Russian hotel room. Will we ever get back such genius to stir us with shaping the contemporaneous trend of music to a new horizon of heavenly rhythm? Emerging from a Euro country Germany that rhythm of music stirred the whole global village. We can feel you till today amidst your immortal songs. Peace – my love!
Nice person and lovely group.......
