The brand new but empty office building is becoming a common sight. Some 7 million square metres of pristine office space lies unused in the Netherlands, because no tenants can be found.
If no action is taken, the number of empty offices will double over the next few years. Some call it the next economic bubble, because even though an empty office is put down as a valuable asset on a company's books, its economic value is practically zero.
