The Dutch military has lost 18 men in Afghanistan since their mission in the southern province of Uruzgan began. The soldiers' deaths and increasingly pessimistic media reports on the prospects of success in Afghanistan have had some impact on public opinion.
But on the whole, the Netherlands still supports the war and the Dutch mission. In the small town of Veenendaal, we let the people have their say.
