The CD has already gone gold. Renowned Dutch concert pianist Wibi Soerjadi composed the nine-part work, "Amor and Psyche", during a two-year period in which he was deaf.
Soerjadi told Radio Netherlands Worldwide that he thought his world would fall apart when he lost his hearing. He couldn't play the piano any more, but he continued to hear music in his head. He became particularly inspired by riding horseback. In order to "feel" the music, he played the piano with earplugs in.
At about this time last year, Wibi Soerjadi recovered his hearing. He describes his recovery as "quite amazing" and says he feels like he has been born again.

He is not a muzikant but a musicus!
Moreover, he is also a composer.
