The Dalai Lama has arrived in the Netherlands. During his three-day visit, he will attend a
conference on sustainability and pay a visit to the Dutch parliament.
Tibet's spiritual leader was forced to flee to India in 1959. Over the past five decades, the
Buddhist monk has been travelling the world to appeal for support for Tibetans. The Dalai Lama,
who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989, draws inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi's policy of
non-violence.
The Tibetan spiritual leader did not want to discuss politics upon his arrival in the
Netherlands. Instead, he spoke about Buddhism and his belief in peace and compassion. "I've come
here to sell my laugh," he said.

I think we all have something to learn from his wisdom. Buddhism is about peace and compassion but it's also about wisdom and strength. I think Dalai Lama has got all that, no wonder so many people decide to become members of church of Shambhala and switch to Buddhism, it's one of those religions that aims to make the world a better place.
