The breast cancer charity, Pink Ribbon, is relatively new in the Netherlands. A Dutch branch of the international campaign was set up 5 years ago and has raised over 20 million euros, thanks in part to the sale of pink products, such as pink telephones or pink vacuum cleaners. A percentage of the proceeds is donated to Pink Ribbon.
To raise awareness about breast cancer, Pink Ribbon has also promoted several publicity stunts, such as the Breast Memory game, a tit race and a cleavage competition. Pink Ribbon says these events are often thought up by breast cancer patients themselves, but a Dutch current affairs programme, Nieuwsuur, has revealed that this is not true.
What's even more serious is that Pink Ribbon claims that it devotes 15% of its funds to breast cancer research. But the only year that Pink Ribbon gave money to research projects was in 2008. Since then, the organisation hasn't funded any further research, something that angers some breast cancer patients.

These agencies just want to make big money for themselves...
hi, where is the help for the forums
Something you wont hear from MSM (main stream media) is that a cure for cancer, including breast, has already been discovered. Research it for yourself. Go to Google or YouTube and search for "Run from the Cure".
earning air miles is not important, understanding its advocate is important;breast cancer research is not important, women role to societal health is important. they both can take place at will.
i should only underwear in hot summer;drink with a straw only if neccessary;save money for must time to need fuel such as flying home.
I have stopped donating to anything that has something to do with cancer "research". If they really want to help reduce or eliminate cancer, why not also fight all the carcinogens that are found in the air, water and food?
