The Netherlands' soft drugs policies are known the world over. People from all four corners of the globe are flocking to the Dutch "drugs capital" Amsterdam, to inhale the Dutch skunk smoke.
There's even a Cannabis Liberation day, where the unrestricted public use of soft drugs is tolerated. But it's not just a big pot-smoking festival, Cannabis Liberation day is also a day of protest. The Dutch government has decided to tighten the rules on marijuana use. The so-called coffeeshops, where soft drugs are sold over the counter, are to be turned into members-only clubs. Only Dutch residents can become members, effectively blocking out the tourists.
Last Sunday's Cannabis Liberation Day, however, proved to be unaffected by those dark clouds looming over Holland's renowned pot-smoking freedom. The only clouds on that sunny spring day emanated from the satisfied smokers' spliffs.

WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF THE NEW LEFT-LEGALIZE POT,LONG VACATIONS,DRESS LIKE FREAKS IN PUBLIC.
"Alcohol is legal and cannabis is not. This is yet another of the perversities imposed upon the world by modern religion."...Is the "perversity" the inequity that alcohol is legal and marijuana is not? Just because one problem (alcohol) is legalised, does that mean illegal drugs should be made legal? Modern religion (excluding Islam) is more likely to support the use of alcohol, illegal drugs, and many other things that destroy and undermind a cohesive society. No, one wrong does not justify allowing another wrong!
Both or neither. Alcohol is ingrained in religious custom, tradition, and mythology. It is unlikely to be successfully prohibited in the Christian world. Cannabis enjoys no such sponsorship. But doctors tell us that both have properties which can extend life or enhance it. A sane world would ban neither.
"If you prohibit smoking, more people will smoke; if you prohibit drinking liquor, more people will drink liquor, if you prohibit using drugs, more people will use drugs, if you prohibit having sex, more people will have sex."....From your statement, you are saying smoking, drinking liguor, using drugs, and having sex is prohibited. Why? Millions and millions of people are smoking cigarettes, drinking liguor, and taking illgal drugs around the planet. Also, the planet is exploding with over five billion people on the planet. Is this because of prohibition? Oh, now I got it. Just say everything is okay and no one will do any of those things you mentioned. Therefore if the Creator hadn't been so mean by restricting Eve, she wouldn't have eaten the "apple" and we would all be in the garden having a good time or at least Adam and Eve would have because they would have never had sex.
During the Prohibition there was a lot of violence and illegal use of alcohol. The use of drugs is now prohibited and what happens now? There is a lot of violence and illegal use of drugs.L'histoire se repete. Make it all legal and the situation might change, and you can even find out who are the providers of drugs and also don't forget to tax them.
If you prohibit smoking, more people will smoke; if you prohibit drinking liquor, more people will drink liquor, if you prohibit using drugs, more people will use drugs, if you prohibit having sex, more people will have sex. It is like the story of Adam and Eve in Paradise with the apple.
"It is like the story of Adam and Eve in Paradise with the apple."...Lalaland, how did the story of Adam and Eve play out for them. They got evicted from the garden for being anti-social and for not heeding the contract. Oh, I almost forgot. The fruit wasn't an apple but a marijuana plant.
It was a fig tree you twat
Alcohol is legal and cannabis is not. This is yet another of the perversities imposed upon the world by modern religion.
Stop the Prohibition, and all will take its free course.
The "free course" has consequences and the consequence is more mental-health problems for the user and for society who has to pay for the medical bills.
