The death toll following the earthquake in Chile continues to grow, with a total of around 800 deaths now being reported.
The Chilean authorities now say that most of these people died as a result of the tsunami that hit the coast after the quake last weekend. In some places, the enormous waves left a trail of devastation as far as two kilometres inland. The city of Concepción is one of the worst-affected coastal communities.
These images recorded in Chile show the extent of the damage.
