Dutch government cutbacks are having a growing impact on daily life in the Netherlands. The village of Buren, in the centre of the country, for instance, has announced that it plans to stop paying for the bookmobile to stop in the village. The local councillor says the municipality can no longer afford it.
The Association of Public Libraries took the town council to court, but the judge ruled in favour of the municality. The association fears that the ruling might lead to the closure of other libraries too.
Many children in Buren staged a protest to save their mobile library. The councillor has promised to find an alternative for children to borrow books, but she says she has no idea what that might be.

But Eric, I can watch this video, so that neans my computer and connection are fine...but still can't run that New Zealand video...thanks for the reply though..
I live in Toronto, Canada and here our libraries are under threat. We have almost 100 library branches in our cities, all being used on a regular basis - not just for books, but for literacy programs, computer access. Keep up your fight, Buren - we are keeping up ours.
