Battling dangerous marijuana farms

Published on : 15 April 2011 - 6:11pm | By Davion Ford (Photo: NOS)
More about:

Each year, scores of illegal marijuana farms are discovered and many of these operations involve the use of dangerously shoddy electrical work to provide the plants with enough heat and light.

The makeshift installations in attics and spare rooms of council houses are often fire hazards which endanger the lives and property of unsuspecting neighbours.

There you go again RNW...with your anti-drug agenda. Would you mind publishing all the "scores of illegal marijuana farms" that have "endangered" lives. Come on, such hogwash!

Marijuana is rubbish!

Seth 7 June 2011 - 5:34am

@Anonymous... alcohol is a drug too. It creates far more havoc and injures far more people than marijuana. Where is the cry to make alcohol illegal or require Dutch pubs to only allow members? How come the same laws that govern the alcohol industry aren't used to govern the marijuana industry?

Far from being "rubbish" it is, as a drug, a godsend to sufferers of MS and other illnesses. As a non-drug it can also be used to make a whole variety of products.

...then don't smoke it...and leave others alone.

Just legalize it already...
