Ukraine voters put economy first
Ukraine goes to the polls on Sunday [7 February] in a presidential run-off which will decide the future direction of the country. Pro-European Yulia Tymoshenko – the current prime minister – is battling it out with pro-Russian opposition leader Viktor Yanukovich.
Radio Netherlands correspondent Thijs Papot reports from Kiev.
India and Pakistan reopen talks
India's announcement that it will restart talks with neighbouring Pakistan after the two countries broke off relations 13 months ago has been welcomed with cautious optimism. Samina Ahmed from the International Crisis Group in Pakistan explains why India chose this time to extend an olive branch.
