More than 1,200 people have died and another 27,000 are stranded in the worst floods to hit Pakistan in 80 years. Our correspondent Suzanna Koster describes the situation on the ground.

The UNAMID mission to Sudan has been extended again in a fresh attempt to stablise the country. But Khartoum says the peacekeepers aren't doing their job properly. Sudan expert, Doctor Richard Barltrop says the government has a good point.
