Yes, we at RNW's EuroHit40 show are holding the 3rd just-for-fun, non-commercial* WorldPopContest this year, 2012.
To get things rolling, we opened Stage 1 of the contest in March by calling on YOU to send us songs to represent YOUR country. DEADLINE now 20 May 2012.

NOW HELP US CHOOSE which song will represent: India, UK, Netherlands, New Zealand
Here are the basic guidelines:
- Maximum one (1) song suggestion per person
- Song should be from 2012 or 2011 (2010 may be accepted) - no older!
- Song must be from the country where you live or come from
- Song may be in any language (but national languages preferred)
- Song must be available on internet (video or audio)
- Song may NOT be an international hit
- Song may be your own composition/performance
- We have songs for Algeria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Colombia, Ecuador, India, Ireland, Lithuania Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden, United Kingdom - please do NOT enter any new songs for these countries.
Here's what we asked you to do, send an email marked WPC 2012 by clicking (or send an email to ) with
- Your name and the country you are suggesting a song for
- Your full postal address
- Link (URL) to a video or audio recording of the song
- Full name of song (English translation of title if possible)
- Name of all composer(s)/writer(s) of song
- Name of performer(s) of song
- Approximate production date of song
