30 June 2009 - originally broadcast 4 August 2002 - At Poetry International 2002, a special programme featured poets writing in what the European Union has designated as “lesser used languages.”

The focus here is on two in particular: Welsh poet Elin ap Hywel and Latvian poet Valts Ernstreits (pictured) who also writes in the nearly lost language Livonian.
